corn silver cuff, Andrew Alvarez (Apache)
There are very few Apache jewelers, but those few are stellar, and Andrew Redhorse Alvarez is one of the stars. He jokes that he has “turquoise blue blood” because he appreciates and uses top quality stones - like the fabulous, natural, Persian spider web turquoise in this gorgeous bracelet.
Corn is the Native symbol of abundance, good health, and happiness. A thick slice of yellow mother-of-pearl is cut into a luminous ear of corn that peeps out from tendrils of textured silver “corn husk”, There are natural blue tourmalines on either side, sparkling like dew-drops, and a single, natural garnet to the right. Applied polished silver cornstalks curl around the sides of the bracelet.

This is for ‘ieatchias’, it’s a boy dressed in dolly kei. This is so cute, and you so rarely see a boy dressed in dolly kei, so for ‘ieatchias’ and all the other gents, this is how you wear dolly kei!

Ring: Milani Teal Jewel FX over Nails INC Connaught Square over CG Smoke and Ashes
Rest: Deborah Lippman Across the Universe over CG Smoke and Ashes
Originally, I was going to only have Smoke and Ashes on my non-ring fingers, but apparently I have to layer everything now! And here’s a close-up of the ring so you can see the purple glitter:
I do love the Nail INC 3D glitters, even though they eat up top coat.
I have a few things to announce today, so stay tuned!

I just made this and am really excited to see how it turns out! I plan on using the same recipe again but with other flowers and herbs.
dandelion fizz recipe

4 cups sugar, honey or other sweetener
2 lemons (less lemon or none if you use honey)
- clean dandelions if necessary, and trim stems
- bring water to a boil and pour over dandelions
- cover and leave for 12 hours
- strain through a cloth and add sweetener, lemon juice and rind
- heat and stir till dissolved but do not boil
- strain into jugs or jars and leave to cool
- pour into clean, dry bottles with tight screw caps
- brew is ready to drink in 3-4 weeks!

three yards of space fabric, fifteen feet of ruffles, three spools of metallic thread (gold and silver for the edges of the ruffles!) and eight hours later, i have this. i designed it special for a friend!
… seriously the metallic edges of the ruffles are the best part.
